3 Additional Techniques to Start a Life With Mindfulness
Since a lot of us are so interested in developing a more mindful life and we are taking te right steps towards this goal of a serene and mindful life here are some more techniques that surely will help you to keep on track to improving your own self. Lets' get to it! But before starting discussing them, don’t forget to write in the comment section to share with our community with which techniques have you been experimenting and have helped you to bring a positive change in your life!

1. Functioning Mindfully During Day-To-Day Activities
How many of you can’t seem to ingest a single bite of your lunch without simultaneously watching your favorite Netflix series? Most of us are culprits of this guilty pleasure but now that we plan to master mindfulness, some changes need to be made. It's time to start eating mindfully. Turn off your TV or laptop and try to have a peaceful meal. Pay attention to each bite you’re ingesting. Stop multitasking while eating, or simply talking. Set your eyes on one thing and one thing only. Your attention should only be on the item that’s in front of you. While taking a walk notice how all your organs move. Notice the sensations in your body instead of mindlessly thinking about a topic that disturbs your mind. The lesser distractions there are the more you’ll feel satisfied by the end of each activity. I have to say that this technique is one of my very own favorites! It is amazing how by only paying attention to the activity of eating and by listening to our own body we can feel satisfied earlier than usual, favoring the possibility of eating less, something that some of us struggle with very often when we want to lose a couple of pounds. In fact, the topic of mindful eating is a topic that keeps on gaining more and more traction among the mainstream topics in the field of health and fitness. Definitively, mindful eating is a topic that will be discussed in this blog eventually.
2. Put An End To Your Monotonous Routine

Changing your surroundings is perhaps the greatest initiative towards a more mindful life. If considering the difficulties presented by the pandemic of the COVID-19 for you traveling doesn't seem like a great idea at the moment, try to change the course of your life by taking baby steps. By making these changes you're making your brain already very mindful on its own. It is like forcing the brain to engage more in a mindful state more frequently. When we try new things there are so many new feelings, sights, and sensations involved that were never there before. Some common ways to bring newness to your life are;
Switching up cuisines for daily meals
Cycling or trying an alternate method of transportation to get to our work or any other place that you are going to.
Taking a new route to work or a place you go frequently
Trying that new coffee shop that you passed by so many times instead of your old coffee place
Trying your hand at a new hobby
My own experience has been this very own blog, for me teaching has always been my passion. In the interest of changing up a little bit my routine I decided to start writing in a blog (which I did not had any previous experience) my experiences and keep on teaching to others everything I can related to mindfulness, focus and productivity.

3. Don’t Rush Into Things
It’s understandable, everyone wants to stay one step ahead but what’s the hurry? Take a quick minute and think about what you’re doing. If you’re writing down something, notice small details in your writings. Think about how the pen smoothly glides on your notebook or how this task seems to be so relaxing. Rushing into anything not only spoils the fun but also puts you in a state where you can get a little too overwhelmed. So, every time you take a sip of your coffee, inhale its aroma. Deliberately focus on common and simple things and savor each moment. The act of romanticizing each activity you perform is a calming experience that makes every task more fulfilling.
Final Words
As I always say, remember that the practice of mindfulness is a lifestyle, it is not something to"turn on" for today and then tomorrow we "turn it off" and get to the life were everything is fast and seems to be spiraling out of control constantly, that way of life do not serves anything good to anyone. So keep on adding little by little a few of these practices to your daily life and you surely will notice the positive change in your life.
